About Dr. Neubuerger

With more than 24 years of experience and thousands of successful spine operations performed, Dr. Neubuerger is an expert in his field. He specializes in all aspects of spine disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. He graduated from medical school in 1993 from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Following his Orthopedic Residency at Los Angeles County Harbor/UCLA Medical Center, he went on to complete a prestigious Spine Fellowship at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Dr. Neubuerger is certified by the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and has been in private practice since 1999. He has published chapters in medical textbooks on spine surgery and conducted lectures on a variety of topics in the field of spine surgery. In 2001, Dr. Neubuerger travelled to Germany to learn from world-renowned spine surgeon Juergen Harms. Dr. Neubuerger is currently the Chief of Spine Surgery at Mercy General Hospital. In 2023, Dr. Neubuerger received the Presidential Award for Patient Excellence from Sutter Hospital.

Dr. Neubuerger is trained in the latest technology and is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society, North American Spine Society, and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Dr. Neubuerger prioritizes staying current with the latest spine surgery research and techniques by attending annual conferences including the Cervical Spine Research Society as well as the organizations listed above.
